Wheeling is an unincorporated community in Washington Township, Gibson County, Indiana, United States. It was once a thriving agricultural community on the banks of the Patoka River. Originally named Kirksville after one of Indiana's early pioneer families, it had a number of mills and farms.[1]It is home to a historic covered bridge over the Patoka River, the Wheeling Bridge.
